Tween & Teen (5th-12th)
Youth Development Program
Our Savior Lutheran Church offers programs ranging from Pre-K through 12th Grade designed for young Christians to equip them with the knowledge they need and prepare them for the works of service God has made them for!
5th and 6th Grade (Tween) Ministry
Our Savior Lutheran Church offers programming specific for 5th and 6th Grade youth. These programs are designed to help bridge the transition period between Children’s Ministry and Teen Ministry.
Tween Sunday School
5th and 6th Graders are welcome to attend Tween Sunday School every Sunday during the school year from 9:30-10:30am! 5th and 6th Graders are split between two class: 5th and 6th Grade boys and 5th and 6th Grade girls! Girls will meet in Y101 and Boys will meet in the FLC to start!
Tween Club
5th and 6th Graders are welcome to attend Tween Club every Wednesday night during the school year from 6-7:30pm! 5th and 6th Graders will study various Bible stories together in preparation for Confirmation! They will meet in the back hallway!
7th-8th Grade (Teen) Ministry
Our Savior Lutheran church offer programming for 7th and 8th Grade youth! These programs are designed to help prepare 7th and 8th Graders for the challenges of Middle and High School!
Teen Sunday School
7th and 8th Graders have the opportunity to participate in Teen Sunday School every Sunday morning from 9:30-10:30am! They will be split between two classes; 7th and 8th Grade Boys and 7th and 8th Grade Girls. They will cover various topics related to living the Christian life! Girls will meet in Y101 and Boys will meet in the FLC to start!
Teen Nights
7th-12th Grade Teens are welcome to join our Teen Nights on the 3rd Sunday of every month! We will meet in the Family Life Center (gym) from 6-8:00pm! These nights will include a meal, game time, a topical Bible study, small group discussion, and more!
Acolyte
Acolytes are youth who serve the congregation during worship. Youth in grades 7 and 8 help this congregation worship well as a worship leader with specific duties that only you carry out. As an acolyte, you: light candles, assist when there is a children’s lesson, receive the offering, assist with Holy Communion, extinguish candles and more.
Confirmation Classes
Confirmation is a discipleship based program that gives the family at OSLC the opportunity to do all we can to assist parents and families in the responsibility to “rear your child in the fear and admonition of the LORD.” Confirmation is a stepping stone in a young person’s faith walk and will hopefully become a strong foundation of faith for which to stand on.
Who is OSLC’s Confirmation class for?
At Our Savior Lutheran Church, Confirmation happens in the 6th – 8th Grade. 9th-12th Grade (Teen) Ministry
Our Savior Lutheran Church offers programming for 9th-12th Graders! These programs are designed to equip teens with the skills necessary to invest in their faith throughout college and into adulthood!
Teen Sunday School
9th-12th Graders have the opportunity to join Teen Sunday School every Sunday morning from 9:30-10:30am! They will be combined in one class in the youth room (Y100)! They will cover various topics and Bible studies intended to equip them with the skills to continue fostering their faith through college!
Teen Nights
7th-12th Graders are welcome to join our Teen Nights on the 3rd Sunday of every month! We will meet in the Family Life Center (gym) from 6-8:00pm! These nights will include a meal, game time, a topical Bible study, small group discussion, and more!
Teen Group
9th-12th Graders have the opportunity to join Teen Group on Wednesday Nights from 7-8:30pm during the school year! We will meet in the youth room (Y100) to cover various topics and help equip ourselves with the skills necessary to share the love of Jesus here and now and in the future!
