JR. HIGH YOUTH (6th-8th grade)

CONFIRMATION CLASSES
Confirmation is a discipleship based program that gives the family at OSLC the opportunity to do all we can to assist parents and families in the responsibility to “rear your child in the fear and admonition of the LORD.” Confirmation is a stepping stone in a young person’s faith walk and will hopefully become a strong foundation of faith for which to stand on.

Who is OSLC’s Confirmation class for?
At Our Savior Lutheran Church, Confirmation happens in the 6th – 8th Grade. If you are interested in joining or have a child interested in joining our Confirmation program please let us know. If you are a high school student desiring to join Our Savior and confirm your faith or you have a high school student with that desire, please contact the church office at 563-332-5141 and ask for our Director of Youth Ministry, Eric Brei.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT FELLOWSHIP
Wednesday Night Fellowship is for all Jr. high youth. It will take place every Wednesday evening after confirmation classes from 7-7:30pm. The time will consist of large and small group games. The events take place in the Family Life Center (Gym) or Youth Room.

SR. HIGH YOUTH (9th-12th grade)

WEDNESDAY NIGHT DROP-IN
Our Sr. High youth are invited to Drop-in to our Wednesday evening gatherings from 7:30-9:30pm in the Youth Room, off-site in the community, or around the firepit behind the church (weather permitting). We hang out and play games, enjoy some fellowship, and dive into God’s Word and how it applies to our lives. Friends are welcome.

2025 LCMS YOUTH GATHERING

All youth who are entering high school in the fall of 2025 are invited to participate in the LCMS Youth Gathering that takes place every three years. In the summer of 2025 the Gathering will take place in New Orleans, LA. Registration will be available as we get closer to Fall 2024. Please contact Eric Brei, Director of Youth Ministry if you have any questions.

TEENSERVE WORKCAMP (June 25-July 1, 2023)
Every summer the youth are encouraged to take part in this week-long servant event that takes place in a Midwestern community. This year we will be traveling to Iowa Falls, IA. Teenserve organizes all the homes that need help and arranges all the lodging and meals for the week. Youth groups from all over the Midwest travel to this location to form crews of youth from various churches and strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus within the community where they are serving.
